How Alarmly notifies you of an alarm

Push, SMS or a phone call — the system escalates until someone answers.

Three ways we reach you
  • Push notification: sent over the internet to the app, with a standard or siren sound depending on the event.
  • SMS: sent to the phone number you provided when creating your account.
  • Phone call: the hub calls you directly — but only for alarms, to make sure it actually gets your attention.
How the calls escalate
  • The hub calls users in the order they're listed under Users in the settings.
  • A new call is placed at most every 2 minutes until someone answers.
  • The call disconnects automatically as soon as someone picks up.
Choose what you're notified about
  • Admins and PROs can customize notification types per user or property.
  • Each user can also fine-tune their own notification preferences in the app.
  • Intrusion, panic, fire and leak alarms can be set to Off, Standard, or Critical alert.
  • Doorbell rings can be configured the same way.
  • Camera detections are always sent as a standard push notification.
iOnly users added to the hub, plus the monitoring company if connected, receive notifications — add everyone who needs to be able to react to an alarm.
