Photo verification on alarm

MotionCam captures a photo series when the alarm triggers — so you and the monitoring station know exactly what's happening.

How it works

MotionCam devices combine a motion detector with a built-in camera. When the alarm triggers, the device captures a photo series of the event and sends it to the app — the first photo typically arrives within a few seconds.

  • Photos are captured using HDR technology that combines two exposures, for better contrast and color in any lighting.
  • A short animated photo series follows the first image, so you can follow what happened.
  • Photos are encrypted and only visible to authorized users in the system.
Why it matters
  • You don't have to wonder if an alarm is real — a quick look in the app tells you.
  • If the system is connected to our monitoring station, staff can visually confirm the threat before dispatching a guard or the police.
  • A false alarm — a pet, say — is immediately obvious in the photo and needs no further action.
iPhoto verification is available on the MotionCam and MotionCam Outdoor detectors.
